Buetell Imogene Fowler Eckliff, 63, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, September 6, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House. She was born on January 13, 1954 in Charleston, SC to the late William L. and Blanche Doris Carter Fowler. Imogene was a graduate of Charleston City Schools and on September 22, 1979 married Timothy Avery Eckliff, who preceded her in death in November of 2013. They shared over 34 years of marriage before his passing. Imogene was retired from Bell South where she worked in customer service and was of Baptist faith. She was injured in an automobile accident in 2001 resulting in a traumatic brain injury that caused her many setbacks over the years. We are thankful that her suffering is over and she is with her Lord and Savior. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday September 9, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Brian Douthit officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service and at other times they will be gathered at the home of Margie Johnson in Statesville. Along with her parents and husband, Tim, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wolfe. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Brandy Eckliff (Nicholas Coombes) of Statesville and Kristina Griffin (Phillip) of Taylorsville; one son, Marcus Fisher (Tamara) of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren, Lucas, Alyssa, Kaylie, Avery, Faith, Aiden "AJ", and Jakob; one sister, Nyrl Wurthman; one brother, Keith Fowler, and her mother-in-law, Margie Johnson.
