Bruce George Fails Jr.

LEXINGTON - Bruce George Fails, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 25, 2022, after a brief illness following surgery.

Bruce was born on October 16, 1940, to Mary Kathryn McVeagh Fails and Bruce George Fails, Sr. in Warren, OH.

Bruce served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a talented artist and woodworker with many interests, a few of which were military planes, trains, and 1950s era cars.

Bruce loved the Lord and served many years in his church as a Deacon. He had a rare level of compassion and was generous with his money, even when he didn't have much of it. Throughout his life, he was an example of consistency and steadfastness in adversity. He cared for his wife at home for almost three years prior to her death.

His sense of humor was one of his intrinsic qualities that people remember about him. He was much loved by his church family, friends, and family.

Bruce is preceded in death by his mother, father, two sisters: Gertrude Rose Burkhalter and Mary Kathryn Maring Hampton, a son, Raymond McVeagh, and his wife, Ava Gray.

He leaves behind his son, Bruce George Fails III, his daughter, Ava Catherine Marcella Fails, his daughter-in-law, Alison Fails, and two grandsons: Evan Taylor Fails and Joshua Brian Fails.
