Brent Lundy

Wendel Brent Lundy, 60, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Iredell County on December 2, 1956 to William Albert and Pat Clark Lundy. Brent was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and was married to Jean Hayes Lundy. He had been a member of Race Street Methodist Church. Brent was a truck driver by trade and was working for Shaver Wood Products. He was very proud of his Comanche heritage and was an enrolled member of the Comanche Tribe. Brent held many offices in the Piedmont Pepper Pod which is affiliated with the Chili Appreciation Society. He won many titles at the State and National level and he even placed in the International Competition. Brent was a wonderful son, husband, and father who will be missed dearly. Brent was preceded in death by a brother, Clark Lundy. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jean; three sons, Wesley, Brad (Lisa), and 2nd Lt. (USA) Jody Lundy; a brother, Lewis Lundy; and a large extended family. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
