Brent Mason Alexander, Sr.

Brent Mason Alexander Sr., of Harmony, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 65 in Iredell County, NC. Born on November 19, 1959, in Alexander County, NC, Brent lived a life full of love, dedication, and faith. 

Brent was a one-of-a-kind individual whose passion for life was felt by everyone he met. A devoted man of God, he was an active member of Harmony Baptist Church for many years, where he served with great dedication as a Deacon, choir director, and Sunday School teacher. His faith and service to the church were a testament to his unwavering commitment to his beliefs. 

Beyond his spiritual pursuits, Brent was known for his love of family and his joy in spending time with them. As a lifelong mechanic and owner of Brent's Front Street Service Center, he poured his heart into his work, and his customers knew him as someone who could always be relied upon. But perhaps even more than his career, Brent found happiness in the simple pleasures of life: gardening, riding his tractor, farming, and fishing. He was also an enthusiast of westerns, and many fond memories were made watching classic films together with loved ones. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Carolyn Alexander, and brothers Wayne Mayberry and Jimmy Alexander, Brent leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Anita; his children, Brent Jr. (Kim), Jennifer York (Buddy), Kris Alexander, and Misty Mayberry (Chad); and his cherished grandchildren, Jerica, Maddie, Kylee, Caity, Courtney, Autumn, Isaac, Caleb, Emma, and Grayson. Brent also leaves behind his brothers, Loyd Alexander, John Alexander, and Allen Mayberry, as well as his sister, Melina Stamey. 

Family and friends will gather to honor Brent's life during a visitation on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church, located at 135 Little Wilkesboro Rd., Harmony, NC. Pastor Jacob Scott will be officiating, assisted by Pastor Eddie Totherow. Brent will be laid to rest at Harmony City Cemetery following the service. 

Brent was a husband, father, P-paw, brother, uncle, and friend like no other. His kindness, humor, and steadfastness will be deeply missed by all. We'll love and miss him until we reunite one day.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff on 1 North and ICU at Iredell Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion towards Brent and his family during his final days.
