Brenda Sue Singleton

Brenda Sue Stewart Singleton, 75, of Statesville passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Iredell County on May 6, 1943 to the late Sloan and Ada Moose Stewart.



Brenda was a graduate of Celeste Henkel High School and was a member of New Bethany Baptist Church. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving, caring mother, cherished by all who knew her. After a lengthy and courageous battle, Angels decided to guide her to Heaven to walk in the presence of the Lord. She will be forever missed. Brenda brought love and joy to all. No more suffering and no more pain. She is rejoicing in Heaven.



Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Alesha Singleton Mash (Robert); three sons, Dean Singleton (Janet), Joel Singleton (Sandy), and Keith England; five grandchildren, Holden Cloer (Alaina), Ashley Singleton, John Singleton, Sarah Carney (Caleb), and Josh Parker (Mariah); six great grandchildren; one sister, Joy Byers (Jerry); and two nephews.



Funeral services will be held 6:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Mason officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the funeral hour. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
