Bonnie Goodin

Bonnie Lou Elder Goodin, 96, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 03, 2014, at her home. Mrs. Goodin was born November 3, 1918, in Alexander County and was the daughter of the late Charles Elmer Elder and Lacy Bowles Elder. She was married to William Hubert Goodin who preceded her in death on February 14, 1995. Mrs. Goodin was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Paul, Charles, and Frank Goodin. She is survived by one daughter, Betty L. Goodin Billings (Walton) and one son, Dennis Goodin (Selena), both of Statesville. 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Bonnie Goodin will be conducted 3:00 PM Thursday, November 6, 2014, at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Skip Cartin officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:30 until 3:00 PM at the church. Burial will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
