Bonnie Ford

Bonnie Jean Brunson Ford, 86, of Statesvillle, passed away Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Genesis Health Care. She was born November 30, 1928 in Aransas Pass, Texas to the late Marvin Perry Brunson and Iva Geo Green Brunson. Mrs. Ford was a graduate of Aransas Pass High School and on September 19, 1945 married William Moore Ford, who preceded her in death in 1990. They had 45 years of marriage before his passing. She was retired from Orbit Industries where she was a furniture inspector. She was a member of Central Church of Christ in Mooresville. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Moore Ford; two granddaughters, Amanda Kathleen Ford and Brett Patton Ford; two grandsons, Wesley Alan Rhyne and Nathan Albert Ford; and a sister, Hazel B. Holden. Left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Linda F. Rhyne of Statesville; two sons, Pat Ford (Janis) of Statesville and William Perry Ford (Judy) of Huntersville; three grandchildren, Bradley Rhyne, Squire Ford, and Chelsea F. Case. She is further survived by three great grandchildren, Jasmine Rhyne, Xavier Case, and Patton Case; a brother, Marvin Brunson; two sisters, Faye B. Pons and Mattie B. Green and step grandchildren, Joe and Annette Ford. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duke Clarke officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
