Bobby Ray Hedrick

Mr. Bob Ray (Bobby) Hedrick, 84, of Statesville, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Iredell County on January 16, 1932, he was a son of the late Calvin Brown Hedrick and Nell Setzer Hedrick. Bob graduated from Statesville Senior High School, Mitchell Community College and N.C. State University. He was an Architect with J.N. Pease and Associates. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He was a member and past president of the West Iredell Ruritan Club and was a former Boy Scout Scoutmaster. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former JoAn Mays Hedrick in 2014. Survivors include a son, Steve Hedrick, daughters, Barbara Nasser and her fiance' William Hauk and Carol Holt and her husband, Stan. Also surviving are grandchildren: Cliff, Clay and Chance Hedrick, Joseph and Jericho Nasser and Nicholas and Jessica Holt. Services celebrating Bob's life will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. today (Sunday) at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Duncan officiating. The family will speak with friends for one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will be at a later date.
