Bobby Gene Bustle

Bobby Gene Bustle, 77, of Claremont, NC went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Gordon Hospice House surrounded by his family. Mr. Bustle was born September 24, 1939 to the late Montie Lee Bustle and Lennie Victoria Hartness Bustle. On August 29, 1959, he was married to Mamie (Estelle) Johnson Bustle and was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by one daughter, Rita Pharr Carlson and husband, Bill of Claremont, one grandson, Brandon Lee Pharr and wife, Hollie of Catawba, one granddaughter, Sarah Pharr Beauchamp and husband, Shane of Newton, four great grandchildren, Zakary and Zetta Pharr and Faith and Logan Beauchamp and one sister, Carolyn Bustle Coe. He was preceded in death by two children, Timothy Mark Bustle and Lena Jean Bustle, three brothers, Gilbert, Burette and Grady Bustle. Bobby was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, who truly loved his family. He was a retired truck driver (28 years). He was always a kind and helpful, loving person to neighbors or anyone in need. He was proud to be a member of the Statesville Masonic Lodge #27 and went on to receive his 32nd Scottish Rite degree. He was a member of the Foothills Antique Power Association and an active board member of the Saddle Ridge Campground for 12 years. He loved camping, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles, playing bluegrass and gospel music. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Gwaltney, Rev. Thomas Lambert and Al Lyons officiating. Burial will follow in the Taylor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
