Bobby Dean Elliott

Bobby Dean Elliott, age 86, of Statesville passed away April 9, 2021 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

He was born April 7, 1935 in Ashe County, North Carolina the son of the late Hazel Elliott. He is also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marjorie Hall Elliott; son, Jacky Lee Bottoms; daughter, Jennifer Dawn Elliott; and sisters, Madelene Barker and Imogene Shephard.

Bobby was employed with the North Carolina Department of Corrections as a prison guard and when he retired bought a small convenience store called the Loray Trading Post. He enjoyed watching westerns like Gun Smoke and loved his family deeply.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard Elliott, Robert Elliott and wife Heather, Joe Bottoms, Tom Allen Bottoms and wife Christine, and Allen Richardson and wife Carol; daughter, Colleen Hackett; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and numerous other loving family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Statesville with Dr. Kyle Goodman officiating.
