Bobby Beaver

Mr. Bobby Levern Beaver, 82, of Statesville, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Beaver was born May 5, 1931 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Ernest and Hazel Beaver. He was a graduate of Iredell County schools and on December 24, 1953 he married Shirley Bass Beaver, who survives. Mr. Beaver was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was retired from Clark Equipment where he worked as a machinist and tool & die maker. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church and served as an usher and the Sunday School Class Treasurer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He had a passion for metal working and had built numerous saw mills. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Glenn Beaver. Mr. Beaver is survived by his wife of 59 years, Shirley B. Beaver of the home, one daughter, Ann Marie Beaver Trivette (Joey), two grandchildren, Annsley and Joseph-Bobby (Joby) Trivette, all of Pounding Mill, VA. and a sister, Willa Dean Morrow of Statesville. A celebration of life for Mr. Beaver will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Cook and Rev. Dr. Alan Roberts officiating. The body will lie in state and the family will visit with friends from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at the church. Burial with full military honors will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Dean Ladd, Dale Morrow, Roger Manuel, Randy Walker, Randy Martin and Stephen Cook. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Baptist Church.
