Bob Dishman

Robert "Bob" Lee Dishman, 79, of Statesville, passed away Monday, Sept. 12, 2011 at the Statesville Brian Center. Mr. Dishman was born June 28, 1932 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Sanford Dishman and Lela Jordan Dishman. He attended Iredell County Schools and on Oct. 31, 1953, was married to Ruth Eller Dishman, who survives of the home. He attended Poplar Springs Church of God and was the owner of North Iredell Chair Co. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rev. Bobby Dishman (Patty) of Winston-Salem, Joseph "Joe" Dishman of Statesville, one daughter, Regina "Gina" Dishman of Statesville, one sister, Rossie D. Marlow of Statesville, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Mike Dishman, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Dishman and Rev. James Green officiating. Burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home.
