Bo Stamey

Mr. Robert Lee (Bo) Stamey, 60, of 519 St. Andrews Rd., Statesville, died December 8, 2014 at his home. Born April 22, 1954 in Greensboro, he was a son of the late Coy Lee (Bill) Stamey, Jr. and Norma Toomes Stamey who survives and is of Statesville. Mr. Stamey was the retired General Manager of Beck-Mercedes in Charlotte. He was a 1972 graduate of North Iredell High School. He was formerly married to Patti Long of Charlotte. Also left to cherish his memory are a son, Robert Miles Stamey of Charlotte, a daughter, Victoria Leigh Stamey of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., a sister, Jane Stamey Withers and her husband, Patrick, of Thomasville, a brother, William Franklin (Pete) Stamey and his wife, Joy of Lake Norman, a niece and three nephews. Services celebrating Bo's life will be conducted at 11:00 Friday, December 19 at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Michael Gehring, Rev. Patrick Withers and Rev. Pete Stamey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Memorial Hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Caring Fellowship Fund at Broad Street United Methodist Church 315 W. Broad St. Statesville, N.C., 28677.
