Billy Joe Mccormick

Billy Joe McCormick, age 59, of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at his home with his family by his side. Born on February 14, 1963, in Dillon, SC, he was the son of the late Lonnie McCormick and Annie Pettit McCormick.

Billy was a man with an enormous sense of humor. He could make a person smile; one could say he "could turn a frown upside down." He worked for PPG (Pittsburgh, Paint, and Glass) for 25 years. Billy was a member of Testimonial Baptist Church in Thomasville where he helped with the Children's Church Ministry. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who cherished his family.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie and Annie McCormick, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Arch Earl Pettit and Dora Grainger.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Annie McCormick; his children, Westley McCormick, Landon McCormick, Allen McCormick, Justin McCormick, Ashley (Jon) Williams, and Danielle (Allan) Lipford; three grandchildren, Mason Lipford, Milo Lipford and Skylar Williams; and siblings, Jo Anne Cox, Barbara (Bobbie) Rickert, and Ben (Tina) McCormick.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11am, Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Testimonial Baptist Church with Pastor Carl H. Sutton officiating.
