Billy Crawford Young Jr.

Billy Crawford Young, Jr., age 60, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Atrium Health in High Point, NC. Born on September 13, 1962, in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Billy Crawford Young, Sr. and Juanita Cochrane Young.

Billy was an outgoing person, very smart and funny. People knew him from his bright personality. There was never a moment he was not around that you would not get a good laugh in. He was a good listener and would give good advice in his words "pull yourself together."

Although he had his struggles in life, he was a good father and he always checked in on his grandkids. He has left us too soon; he lived his best life and enjoyed every moment of it.

He has left behind two daughters, Traci Smith and Ebonie Young; and six grandkids, Kimani, Laila, Nala, Nyasia, Legacy, and Dynazty. He is also survived by five sisters, Priscilla (Keith, preceded in death), Debra (Joseph) Luckey, Teresa McLendon (Darrell, preceded in death, Tammy (Jeffrey) Byrd, and Alicia Burch; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Emanuel Baptist Church in Thomasville, NC.
