Billee Mills

Billee Rose Current Mills, 62, of Statesville, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Ms. Mills was born in Iredell County on August 13, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Dr. William Clyde Current and Ruth Davis Current. She was a graduate of Iredell County Schools, Mitchell Community College, and CPCC and she was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Ms. Mills was employed with Dr. John McGinty where she worked as dental hygienist. Ms. Mills is survived by one son, Richard "Rick" C. Mills; two sisters, Ruth "Sissie" C. Dodd and Barbara C. Overbey, all of Statesville. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and close friends. Ms. Mills was a proud member and trustee of the Statesville Elks Lodge. She always thought of others and their needs first. She was loved and adored by everybody; her laughter and smile were contagious. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Ms. Mills will be conducted 4:00 PM Monday, November 29, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Scott officiating. Her 'Beach Week Girls' are asked to sit together as honoraries. The family will visit with friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church, 125 North Meeting Street , N.C. 28677, or to the charity of the donor's choice in her honor.
