William "Bill" Alan Graham, 70, of Troutman, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 26, 2014. He was born in Kannapolis on December 29, 1943 to the late Plummer Warren Graham and Susie Spradley Graham. Bill was graduate of A.L. Brown High School in Kannapolis and Wingate College where he was an All-American catcher on the baseball team. He served his country honorably in Vietnam as a military policeman. Bill married Anne Tron Graham on May 17, 1969 in Dillon, SC and they enjoyed over 45 years of marriage before his passing. He retired as owner/operator of Graham's Auto Sales and attended Broad Street United Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating, sports, and gardening. He loved his family and will be missed by all that knew him. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two older brothers, Harris and Warren Graham. Mr. Graham is survived by his wife, Anne of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Vann and Amy Graham of Chapel Hill, NC; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and David McClelland of Raleigh, NC; a son and daughter-in-law, Jarret and Sheri Graham of St. Simons Island, GA; four grandsons, Dylan and Dalton Graham of Chapel Hill, NC and Evan and Reid Graham of St. Simons Island, GA; and two granddaughters, Emry and Molly McClelland of Raleigh, NC. He is further survived by three sisters, Lois Overcash and husband, Grady of Concord, NC, Ruth Lipster of Rock Hill, SC, and Jeannie Galyan of Concord, NC; a brother-in-law, Rick Tron and wife, Cindy of Statesville; a sister-in-law, Thelma Graham of Kannapolis, NC; and a number of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Bill Graham will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 2:30 PM at Broad Street United Methodist Church with Rev. Jennifer Bingham and Rev. Don Shuman officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends following the service in Memorial Hall at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., TX 75231.
