Bill Everidge

Billy Ray Everidge, 79, of Statesville, went home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2012. Mr. Everidge was born May 15, 1933 in Iredell County and was the son of the late James W. Everidge and Pearl Shumaker Everidge. He attended Harmony School and was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of King Arthur. On October 21, 1966, he was married to Barbara Reavis Everidge, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Gary R. Everidge of the home. He is also survived by three grandsons, Joshua R. Christopher M and Tim Everidge of Maiden along with two great grandchildren also of Maiden. He is further survived by two sisters, Clara E. Jenkins and Lucy E. Mason, one brother, Bobby Everidge (Sue) and two sister-in-laws, Margaret Everidge and Ruth Hix. In addition to his parents to his parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, Grady, Roland, Bruce, Hal and Paul Everidge and one sister Ruby Taylor. Funeral services for Mr. Everidge will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, June 30. 2012 at Light In The Darkness Church with Pastor Jerry Wallace, Rev. Lester Carson and Rev. Rick Safriet officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 7:00 until 9:00 pm Friday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home.
