Beverly Almira Ward

THOMASVILLE-Mrs. Beverly Almira Martin Ward, 63, of Thomasville, NC passed away unexpectedly at her home on June 15, 2021. The daughter of the late Bernis Martin, Sr. and Janet Turlington Brown, Mrs. Ward was born August 12, 1957 in Hope Mills, NC. Beverly held a close relation to God and grew up in the Hope Mills Church of God. Mrs. Ward was a general manager for Kimbrells Furniture for over 30 years. Beverly possessed a great sense of humor and she loved to laugh. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Beverly loved her family, and Lindsey and Mason were everything to her. She loved working in her yard and had quite a collection of bird houses. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ward is preceded in death by her husband Montgomery Ward and two sisters Diana Seigler and Wanda Lewis. She is survived by her daughter Lindsey Carter of Thomasville, grandson Mason Carter Idol, sister Dawn McGovern (John) of Lexington, two brothers Bernis Martin, Jr. (Rosemary) of Apex and Mike Martin of Parkton, niece Brook Seigler of Lexington, great-nephew Daylon Seigler, 11 nieces and nephews and 7 great nieces and nephews, childhood best friend for 55 years Barbara DeLuca of Hope Mills, and forever friend and co-worker Mendy Swaney. In lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made for Beverly Ward's Memorial Fund at any First National Bank in the name of 'Lindsey Carter'.
