Betty Waugh Brady, 85, of Statesville, was taken by the hand of the Lord to a quieter, gentler place on September 23, 2015. Born November 22, 1929 in Catawba County she was the daughter of the late Donnie B and Flora Waugh Waugh. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Statesville and retired as an executive secretary from Brady Printing Co. Previously a member of the Garden Club a Girl Scout Leader and a volunteer for Iredell Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Brady, they were married September 3, 1949. Mrs. Brady is survived by two daughters: Louise Brady McGinnis and husband Howell "Andy" of West Palm Beach, FL, Jean Brady Jarvis and husband Rodney of Statesville; two grandchildren: Scott Michael McGinnis of Auburn, AL, Sara McGinnis Wiggins and husband Jery of Pensacola, FL; two great-grandchildren: AJ Wiggins and Luke Michael Wiggins; and her faithful pet and companion, Tess. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Trinity Episcopal Church with the Rev. Brad Mullis and Rev. Cowles Bristol officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the home; 304 Heritage Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
