Betty Webster Beaver, 79, of Statesvile, passed away March 17, 2011 at Davis Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health. Mrs. Beaver was born Jan. 18, 1932 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Marcus Hanner Webster and Mable Fann Webster. She was a graduate of Cool Springs High School and was retired as an assistant manager of an Apartment Complex in Richardson, TX, but always enjoyed looking after children. She was a member of Abilene Church of Christ and on Oct. 18, 1997, she was married to Arthur J. Beaver, who survives of the home. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Beaver is survived by one son, Charles M. Miller of Dallas, TX, one step-daughter, Pam Vollmer (Robin) of Durham, NC, two grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Jennifer Miller, one step-granddaughter, Christina M. Galunasone, six great grandchildren, sister, Lois W. Setzer (Hoover) of Statesville and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Webster (Joy) of Carrollton, TX and Danny C. Webster (Sue) of Statesville, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ronald L. Miller, two brothers, Fred T. Webster, Joe A. Webster and one sister, Doris W. Crawford. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Abilene Church of Christ with Minister Lamar Russell officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Blueridge Cemetery, Blueridge, TX. Active pallbearers will be Steven R. Webster, G. Paul Webster, R. Andrew (Andy) Webster, Dallas C. Webster, B. Garry Overcash and H. Michael Overcash.
