Bernice Sexton

September 18, 1958 — October 31, 2020

Some people only walk this earth for a short time and will be deeply missed. Mrs. Bernice Worley Sexton, 62 a resident of Thomasville, passed away unexpectantly surrounded by her loved ones on October 31, 2020. Bernice was born on September 18, 1958 in Surry County, a daughter of the late Leo and Violet Bowman. Bernice was a successful real estate agent in the Davidson County communities, and she owned her own real estate company for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Bowman, her nephew, Derick Bowman and her beloved Pork Chop. Surviving are her two daughters, Brandy Beck and her husband Michael of Thomasville and Charlotte Lawrence and her husband Sean of High Point along with her two grandsons, Cody Beck and Silas Lawrence and her only granddaughter, Kennedy Beck. Also, surviving is her husband, Tommy Sexton, her two brothers, Ronnie Bowman and Bruce Bowman and her two sisters, June (Marvin) Lovingood and Ginger (Donnie) Pennington as well as her nephews and nieces. Its hard to find the right words to pay tribute to the woman who raised and cared for you. Our Mother was a strong-willed woman who knew what she wanted, and she didnt mind letting you know. She taught both of us girls how to be ambitious, strong women, who have a voice and most importantly how to love our families. Imagine growing up with three strong opinionated women in one household, while we may have had many debates through the years, we always knew we loved each other with our entire hearts and souls. For all whom loved our mother dearly, we hope that you will never forget her honesty, wit, kindness, determination and her undying love for both her daughters and her grandchildren. Please join us in celebrating the life of our mother, Bernice Worley Sexton on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 1:00pm at Wellspring Community Church located at 600 May Road, Thomasville, North Carolina. Thank you, Mom, for all the blessings and wonderful memories we shared and that both of us girls, truly love you and miss you more than you can ever imagine. We love you always and forever.
