Mr. Bennie Ray Crosby, 70, of Mooresville, NC passed away, Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Crosby was born on September 11, 1945 in Charlotte, NC to the late Howard Edward and Doris Short Crosby. He was raised by Norris and Anne Short and graduated from Garinger High School, class of 1963. On April 12, 1965, he married Frances Shirhall Crosby, who survives of the home. He was the owner and partner of Air & Hydraulic Services in Statesville, NC and was an Ancient, Free and Accepted Mason and had served as Past Master of JOPA Lodge 530. In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by one son, Anthony Scott Crosby (Rhonda) of Mooresville; two grandsons, Anthony "AC" Scott Crosby II (Hannah) of Mooresville, Alex Carl Crosby and fianc, Morgan Bell of Mooresville; one brother, Donald Crosby (Julie) of Sherrills Ford, NC; one sister, Jeannean Rogers (Sandy) of Marshville, NC; mother-in-law, Jean Tucker and best friends, Rick and Martha Ayers and Pete Lozica. He was preceded in death by three brothers, William E. Crosby, Rae Short, Gene Short and one sister, Jeanette Pasche. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Sandy Rogers and Rosemary Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Masonic Orphanage for Children at Oxford, NC.
