Barbara Lee Gilchrist

Barbara L (Greene) Gilchrist, age 79, passed away peacefully after a long battle with alzheimers on June 11th, 2020. Surrounded by her family, she took the hand of Jesus and returned to her heavenly home. She was born in High Point NC, January 20th, 1941, to Herbert J Greene Sr and Alice Osbourne Greene. She genuinely loved her family and will be remembered for her Strong Faith.Barbara is preceded in death by her Loving Husband, John W Gilchrist Sr., Son, John W Gilchrist Jr., and both parents.Surviving are Daughter, Michelle Gilchrist, Son, Matthew Gilchrist, Son, Patrick Gilchrist(and wife Kelli), 3 adopted children; Ann Adkins, Samantha Gilchrist and Bobby Gilchrist; Brothers, Richard Greene(and wife Brenda), Gerald Greene, Randy Greene (and wife Debbie) and Sister, Bonnie Wilson.Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
