Barbara Jean Loudermilt

Barbara Jean Fox Loudermilt, 76, passed into her eternal life Dec 1, 2016 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She had lived the last two years at Autumn Care in Statesville. She was the daughter of the late Grafton Fox and Mary Mecimore Fox Staton. Barbara grew up in Statesville and was a homemaker who excelled at sewing and artistic endeavors. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. Barbara was a member of and played the piano for Bristol Drive Baptist Church for many years. She was optimistic, had an infectious smile and laughter. She always had a kind word for everyone and could tell a great story. Barbara is survived by three sons, Keith Loudermilt (Trish), Wesley Loudermilt (Donna), and Cris Loudermilt (Tammy). She is survived by her former husband, Frank Loudermilt and three brothers, Johnny Fox, Billy Fox, and Gary Fox. She is survived by six grandchildren, Tiffany Layne, Kayla Jenkins, Charlotte, Madison, Makenzie, and Tyler Loudermilt. She has three great-grandchildren, Zaeden, Callie, and Cloie Jenkins. A life celebration will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, December 4, 2016 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will meet with friends and extended family following the service. The immediate family will lay her to rest Monday at 10:30 AM following a graveside service at the Oakwood cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Gordon Hospice of Iredell County.
