Barbara Ann Grose

July 7, 1934 — September 3, 2018

Barbara Ann Grose of Harmony, quietly passed away on Labor Day, September 3, 2018 at Rosewood Assisted Living. She was born in Iredell County on July 7, 1934 and graduated from Harmony High School. After a 30 year career, she retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in Winston-Salem.



Barbara was a beloved daughter of the late Sanford Dallas Grose and Ila Joyner Grose. She was also predeceased by her sisters: Yvonne Grose Brandon (Bill) of Clemmons, N.C., and Anne Booe Brown (Holland), of Harmony, N.C. and her beloved companion "Sweet Pea".



Barbara was lovingly called "Barbie" by her nieces: Joan Gale Ward (David) of Wilmington, N.C, Laura Torres Landau (Mitch) of The Villages, Florida, Reagan Torres Hawker (Tom) of Atlanta, Ga., Beverly Brandon-Richey (Terre) of Midway, N.C., Gail Brandon Taylor (David) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Anne Katherine Landau of Auburn, Alabama and a nephew, Christian Hawker of Atlanta, Ga.



Services celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Sandy Springs Baptist Church in Harmony, N.C. with Rev. David Kiser officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:30 until 11:00 prior to the service. Private burial will follow in the church cemetery.



The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Rosewood Assisted Living for the loving care she received.
