Avis Walsh

Avis N. Walsh passed peacefully away with her husband by her side on September 2, 2015. Avis was born on April 20, 1929. She is survived by her husband James F. Walsh, her daughter Cynthia (Sam) Robinson and son David (Debi) Walsh. Sisters Inez (Jack) Briggs and Barbara (Roy) Lentz. Granddaughter, Candace (Jeff) Israel and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was a long-time active member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Statesville. Avis will always be remembered for her loving and caring spirit for her family, church-family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Ernie Sheldon officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
