Avery Marie Johnson

September 2, 2014 — May 3, 2015

Avery Marie Johnson, 8 month old daughter of Bradley and Lauren Johnson, of Statesville, went to be with Jesus on May 3, 2015 from the Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem. She was born on September 2, 2014 in Iredell County. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her Paternal Grandparents: Alan and Sharon Johnson of Troutman and her Paternal Great Grandfather, Parks Johnson of Statesville and her Maternal Grandparents: David and Kathy Montgomery of Troutman. Also surviving are her aunts: Erin Hutchens (Patrick) and their daughter Paisley of Troutman and Sarah Scott (Kevin) of Charlotte, along with many other extended family members and friends who surrounded her with love from the beginning. Avery brought so much joy, happiness, laughter and love to everyone she met. She had a smile that could light up a room and blue eyes that could not go un-noticed. Avery was affectionately called "The Strongest Girl In The Whole Wide World". She touched many peoples' hearts with her strength during her short 8 months. Avery's journey through life connected people forming lifelong friendships. Avery's family is forever grateful for the entire medical team that she had at Brenner Children's Hospital. Services celebrating Avery's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church with Rev. Josh Sherfey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Burial will be private on Friday. All attending are asked not to wear black, but rather bright colors in celebration of her life.
