Audrey Mills

Mrs. Audrey Goodin Mills, 69, of Statesville, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Mills was born May 9, 1947 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Forest and Lucille Goodin. She was educated in Iredell County and graduated from Central High School. She worked 22 years in accounting at the old Southern Screw Co. and 26 years as Vice President of Mills Custom Cabinetry Inc. She was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. She is survived by husband, Robert (Bob) Mills of the home, son, Eric Carico and wife, Shannon, grandchildren, Holly, Leann, Nickalas, stepson, Richard (Rick) Mills and wife, Tracy, sister, Karen Harper of Newton, NC along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Goodin of China Grove. Audrey will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and bubbly personality. She was always a giver, never a taker and loved being around family and friends. A gathering of friends will be conducted Thursday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. A private family memorial will be held at a later date.
