Arlene Horne, age 71, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Novant Health Medical Center in Thomasville. Born on January 31, 1952, in Guilford County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Veronica Finegan.
Ms. Horne was an active member and a faithful sister of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lexington. She had a passion to read and those who knew her would describe her as a "deep thinker." She was CNA by profession who loved taking care of people and even animals.
In addition to her parents, Howard and Veronica Finegan, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Howard Finegan; her sister, Carlene Beck; and niece, Vicky.
Left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Sophia Furr and husband, Greg; stepchildren, Susan Thuleen and husband, Shane, and Benjy Horne and wife, Melissa; grandchildren, Aaron Medlin and wife, Melissa, Cody Furr, and Dalton Furr and wife, Jasmine; great-grandchildren, Averi, Kinsley, Weston, Gianna, and Wyatt; step grandchildren, Dylan Thuleen, Ashton Horne and Aiden Horne; brothers, Ronald Glenn, and Danny Glenn and wife, Jean; nieces and nephews, Trissi, April, Philis, Lee, Wesley, Eric, Ashely and Wynonna; great nephew, John Beck; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
A Service to Celebrate her Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 130 Fuller St., Lexington, NC.
