Ardie Palombi

Arduino "Ardie" Palombi, 82, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014, at the Serenity House in Mooresville. Mr. Palombi was born in Italy on July 28, 1932, and was the son of the late Lorenzo Palombi and Oliva Galloni Palombi. In Canastota, he attended Canastota High School before joining the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War. He was married to Sally Adams Palombi, who preceded him in death in 2011. He was formerly employed as the supply manager with Syracuse University and was a member of the VFW Post 2013. In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Palombi was preceded in death by one brother, Flavio Palombi and one sister, Anita Costanzo. He is survived by his daughter, Anita Palombi Buck (Jeffrey) of Statesville and two sons, Paul Palombi (Patricia) of Cleveland, OH and James Palombi of Los Angeles, CA along with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
