Anita White Harrington

Anita White Harrington, 93, of Olin, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Statesville Place. She was born on February 6, 1922 in Iredell County to the late Claude S. White Sr. and Bessie Pharr White. Mrs. Harrington was a graduate of Union Grove High School and was a self-employed Beautician who had worked at the Charm Center Beauty Shop for many years. She was a member of Union Grove United Methodist Church. She was first married to M. Dorsey Holland who preceded her in death and later married D. Quinton Harrington, who also preceded her death. Along with her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James B. White and Claude S. White Jr.; and one sister, Doris White Millsaps. Left to cherish her memory are one brother, Paul R. White of Olin; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Harrington will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Union Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Neal Shaw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends following the graveside service.
