Angie Minton

Angela Gail "Angie" Dishman Minton, 46, of Hiddenite passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, November 27, 2014. She was born in Iredell County on September 3, 1968 to James Henry and Pat Pace Dishman, who survive. Angie was a graduate of Iredell County Schools and on May 27, 1990 married Jerry Wayne Minton. They enjoyed over 24 years of marriage before her passing. She was a Teacher Assistant for Iredell/Statesville Schools. She loved teaching and her passion was working with exceptional children. She was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church and was a member of the Women's Ministry. Along with her parents and husband, Wayne, she is survived by a daughter, Ashley M. Cooper and husband Ryne of Statesville; a son Josh Minton of Hiddenite; two brothers, Todd Dishman and Audrey and Tim Dishman and wife Stephanie, both of Hiddenite; six nieces, and one nephew. Funeral services for Angie Minton will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Pisgah United Methodist Church with Pastor Mike Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the church prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00 PM.
