Andy Daniels

Wade Andrew Daniels, known as Andy, born June 18, 1957 in Statesville, NC died unexpectedly on April 1, 2014 of natural causes. Andy was the son of Willie Daniels and the late Wade Daniels. He is also survived by his wife Teresa Taylor Daniels and daughter Andrea Daniels; sisters Billye Craft, Penny Daniels (Dwayne) Lippard, and Shelia (Dwight) Goodwin. He is further survived by nieces, Maddie Browning, Izabelle, Maddie Rose, and EmiLee Lippard along with nephews, Davie (Jessica) and Joe Craft, Klent and Chase Gwaltney, Johnathan (Gwen) and Ronald (Tara) Browning. Great niece, Emmalynn and great nephew, Riley also survives. Andy worked at Daniels sawmill with his late father Wade Daniels all his life and later became the sole owner of the Daniels Sawmill. Nephew Jonathan Browning started working with Andy at the early age of five. Over the years Andy provided jobs for many young guys in the community. Currently Ernie Taylor, Joe Craft, Jeffrey Wood, Jonathan Browning and Chase Gwaltney all work at the sawmill. Andy spent his life loving the Lord and serving the Lord. He spent many years being on the youth committee at South River Church. Throughout the years he and Teresa always opened their home to many of the youth in the community. The highlight of Andy's life was going to China in 2003 and picking up his daughter, Andrea. He was currently attending Western Avenue Church where he and Teresa taught the 5th grade Sunday school Class. Andy loved kids but his daughter Andrea was the light of his life. Andrea is a cheerleader and her dad devoted his time to taking her and attending all of her cheerleading events and competitions. Andy Daniels was well known in the community and never minded lending a helping hand to others. Andy loved people and life itself he was the same all the time and will be truly missed by all. Funeral services for Andy Daniels will be conducted 3:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Western Avenue Baptist Church with Dr. Skip Cartin and Rev. Jeff Spry officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the South River Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jonathan and Ronald Browning, Davie and Joe Craft, and Klent and Chase Gwaltney. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Taylor, Jeffrey Wood, Brandon Feimster, Robbie Taylor, and Dolly Madison.
