Andrew William Chauncey

Andrew William Chauncey, 27, of Trinity, NC passed away Thursday April 20, 2023. Andrew was born May 4, 1995, in Thomasville, NC to the late Joseph Bernard McNamara (Amanda) of Greensboro, NC and Danielle Rae Chauncey of Portsmouth, VA and was raised with love and devotion by his grandparents, the late Carl William Chauncey and the late Jane Borland Chauncey of Trinity, NC.

Andrew had an infectious smile and loved to laugh and prank. He immersed himself in music and all things outdoors. Chauncey enjoyed being a problem solver and strategist and hanging out with friends he thought of as family.

He was preceded in death by his aunt Stephanie Williams and his grandparents Bernard McNamara, and Anthony Herrera (Beatrice). Andrew is survived by his siblings, Amanda Chauncey-Haslett (Rick), Oliver Chauncey, Alex Chauncey, Kai McNamara, Dalilah McNamara, LeeVinnie McNamara, Jonathan Bryant; his aunts and uncles Thanh McNamara, Brein McNamara (Jackie), Lara Johnson, Michaela McNamara, Steven Herrera (Katherine), Luis McNamara, Jason Williams; several cousins; and his grandmother Joan McNamara.

A memorial service will be hosted by Amanda Chauncey-Haslett at Southwest Park on April 29, 2023, from 12 noon until 3 p.m.
