Allen Harvey Williams

March 20, 1951 — November 23, 2018

Allen Harvey Williams, 67, of Union Grove, died Friday, November 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.



Mr. Williams was born in Houlton, ME on March 20, 1951 and was the son of the late Earl Murry Williams and Mae Elizabeth Russell Williams.



He attended schools in Houlton, ME. Mr. Williams was a retired shipping foreman with Southern States and he was a member of Grassy Knob Baptist Church.



On March 27, 1983 Mr. Williams was married to Denise Speaks Williams and together they shared 35 years of marriage until his death.



Mr. Williams loved the outdoors. He had a passion for hunting and fishing. His passion for hunting and fishing was shared with his sons and step-sons. He taught them to appreciate what nature had to offer. He was also a man who loved his church and his church family. Nothing compared to the love he had for is family, especially for his wife, children and grandchildren. He worked tirelessly to provide and to nurture every factor in their lives. Life will not be the same since his passing and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.



In addition to his wife Denise, he is survived by three sons, Kevin Williams of Seattle, WA, Edward Williams, Sr (Bobbi Jo Williams) of Troutman, and Anthony Williams (Kimberly Rowley Williams) of Harmony and two step-sons, Seth Lundy (Mitzi) of Union Grove and Bob Wetherby, of Harmony. He is also survived by one sister, Cindy Williams of Houlton, ME, one brother, Larry Williams of Houlton, ME and half-brother Kenny Williams (April) of Union Grove and brother-in-law Junior Speaks. He is further survived by nine grandchildren, Cheyenne Williams, Edward Williams, Jr, Autumn Williams, Craven Pope, Xavier Rowley, Austin Rowley, Elvira Rowley, Victoria Myers and Zach Myers.



Graveside funerals services honoring the life of Allen Williams will be conducted at 3:00 PM Tuesday, November 27 in the Campbell Family Cemetery in Union Grove. The family will visit with friends from 11:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday at Nicholson Funeral Home.
