Allen Franklin Johnson

Allen Franklin Johnson, 80, of Statesville, passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Brian Center of Statesville. He was born in Iredell County to the late Greeley Dexter Johnson and Effie Mae Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a graduate of Harmony High School and on October 14, 1956 married Ramona Lowe. They shared over 60 years of marriage before his passing. He was retired from Southern Fastening Systems where he had served as the pension benefits coordinator. Allen had been a very active member of Fairview Baptist Church where he had held many position over the years and was a member of the Jack Setzer Sunday School Class. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Johnson and two sisters, Margie Hedrick and Jane Pierce. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ramona; a daughter, Sherry Johnson, both of the home; a son, A. Daniel Johnson (Beverly Nesbit) of Winston-Salem; a sister, Melda Showfety; a brother-in-law, Robert Pierce; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 24, 2017 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Scott Eanes officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
