Alice Ouida Roland

Mrs. Alice Ouida Holton Roland, 86, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Caramont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Coffey County, GA on November 27, 1930, and was the daughter of the late Elizabeth Wells Holton. Mrs. Roland was a graduate of Coffey County schools and in 1945, she married James Thomas Roland, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2015. Mrs. Roland was a retired production supervisor with Uniglass Ind. following 30 years of service. She was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Viola Bevelle. She is survived by a son, Mike Roland (Cinda), a grandson, Jason Roland (Sharon) of Charlotte, a granddaughter, Shelley Roland of Belmont, great-grandson, Tyler Roland and great-granddaughter, Avery Roland, both of Charlotte. Funeral services for Alice Roland will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 8, 2017, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Cook and Rev. Brian Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the funeral service.
