Alan Lynn Goodnough

LEXINGTON-Mr. Alan Lynn Goodnough, 46, of Lexington, NC passed away June 17, 2021 at Hospice of Davidson County. Mr. Goodnough was born in Jackson, MS on November 3, 1974, and served in the United States Air Force before commencing his 30 year career as a Mechanic at M&L Motor Company. He was a firefighter with South Lexington Fire Department and Southmont Fire Department for over 20 years. Alan loved life and loved being with people. He loved repairing and restoring old cars well beyond his automotive career. In his earlier years he enjoyed horseback riding. Mr. Goodnough is survived by his fianc Britany Graham (and her daughter Kaylee) of Lexington, father Gary Lynn Goodnough (and wife Deena) of Lexington, mother Bobbie Goodnough of Madison, TN, and three children Dylan Goodnough of Winston-Salem, NC, Brandon Goodnough of Lexington, and Emma Goodnough of Lexington. A memorial service for Mr. Goodnough is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday June 26, 2021 at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, 214 Andrew Sink Road, Lexington, NC. A private family burial will follow.
