Mrs. Fannie Adean Hamm Johnson, 67, of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 13, 1947 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Stanley Silas Hamm and Emma Burgess Hamm. She was a 1965 graduate of Central High School and was a Respiratory Therapist at Davis Hospital and Iredell Memorial Hospital. On March 29, 1968, she was married to John Roger Johnson, who survives of the home and was a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. She was a wonderful Mother and wife, who will truly be missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, John Roger Johnson, Jr. of Dayton, TN; one daughter, Loretta Johnson Upright (Shannon) of Stony Point, three grandsons, Jody, Bradley and John Upright; four sisters, Nealie Kilpatrick, Evelyn Lunsford, Dessie Connolly, Annie Shepherd; two brothers, Dwight Hamm (Wanda), Burgess “Chub” Hamm (Barbara) and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Hamm, Richard Hamm and one sister, Geneva Dyson.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Bunton and Pastor James “Babe” McClain officiating. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Jody Upright, Bradley Upright, Jamie Johnson, David Johnson, Mark Wilcox and Richard Rogers.
