Clyde Jr. and sister Susan, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. I always thought a lot of your parents and you kids. I know it is hard losing them both so close together. Could not get to the visitation or funeral regretfully but you have been in my thoughts. You were blessed with wonderful parents and had them for a long time. May they rest in peace, together. Wish I could have seen you. Linda Taylor [Lee and Lane's mom]

Dear Kim and Junior, We were so sorry to hear of Luther’s death. This had been a difficult year for you. Your dad was such a good neighbor, friend and a very serious Rook player for many years. When we think of the four of you it is with sweet and many memories. You took us in as family from the day we moved to Statesville and was always there for us. Please know that he is back with your mom and is happy again. Your parents were so very proud of you all.
We were planning on coming to the service but George has the flu. You and the whole family are in our prayers.
    Our Love, George & Kathy
