Mary Sue Miller

Mrs. Mary Sue Sipes Miller, 84, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born March 25, 1927 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Ernest Martin and Greta Lucille Scarborough Sipes.  She attended Celeste Henkel High School and in 1947 she married Hubert Eugene “Gene” Miller, who survives.

Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and she was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church.

In addition to her husband, Gene Miller, Mrs. Miller is also survived by one daughter, Diane Miller Isenhour (Frank) of Statesville; one granddaughter, Melissa Isenhour Clodfelter (Eric) of Troutman and one sister, Betty Sipes Harwell (Avery) of Statesville.  She is further survived by her grand-dog, Mocha, who is a pit bull rescue, from Troutman.

Mary Sue loved to sew, shop and seeing old friends and reminiscing about old times.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Miller will be conducted 2:30 pm Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Bethlehem UMC with Rev. Cokie Bristol and Rev. Olin Isenhour officiating.  The family will visit with friends from 1:00 until 2:30 pm at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethlehem UMC, 607 Bethlehem Road, Statesville, NC 28677.
